Ode to a Park

Despite its unfortunate name, this park will be one of the things I miss most about Katy.
The starting point of many beautiful, therapeutic runs.
Home to all kinds of animals. We've seen rabbits, cardinals, armadillos, deer, egrets, ducks, turtles, fish, snakes, alligators...It was a great place for my beginning drivers to practice their skills.
Quiet and peaceful, you'd never know the city was so close by.
Goodbye, George Bush Park.

Wicked

We've been waiting all summer for this!

Lizzie, being Lizzie.
She's a rascal, that girl.

A Shady Home

Our new home is being built among a bunch of old oak trees.

My Grandma June had a shady house and I have always wanted one too.

I'm really excited to have a big yard with mature trees.I think Mr. B is looking to a higher power to give him the strength needed for adequate yard maintenance.

Nac-O-Nowhere

We loaded up the Subaru and headed to Nacogdoches, home of Stephen F. Austin State University for Freshman Orientation.

Our faithful chauffeur got us there safe and sound.

We all ended up with cool purple t-shirts (purple!)
