We have 8 trees in our yard now. Six of them have grown up wild. The builder had them trimmed for construction purposes, but they still looked pretty scraggly so we had an arborist come out to talk trees and trimming. It was very interesting. I was especially interested in the story of this tree. (This picture is after trimming. See

It is
full of holes.
Look! You can see right through the old guy!
The arborist thought it had been hit by lightning a time or two and been through some hard freezes.
This old oak is a survivor!
We hope to give it a cushy, stress free life from now on.
